Vancouver’s entry in the Oregon High School Hockey League will play for the league championship today at 6:30 p.m. at Mountain View Ice Arena in Vancouver.

Three Rivers, which finished first in the league with a 13-1 record, takes on Vancouver for the title.

The Vancouver squad includes players who attend, Columbia River, Skyview and Prairie high schools. Vancouver went 5-5-4 in league games, and handed Three Rivers its lone loss of the season, winning 6-1 on Jan. 20

In the playoffs, Vancouver defeated the other Clark County entry, Evergreen, and the Portland Interscholastic League team to reach today’s championship.

Three Rivers, the league power in recent seasons, draws players from high schools in the West Linn-Oregon City area.

Win or lose today, Vancouver will participate next month in a four-team tournament with the champions from Eugene and southern Oregon leagues.
