SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) — Cameron Jones scored 23 points Thursday night as Northern Arizona beat Sacramento State 63-42 to clinch a spot in the Big Sky Conference tournament.

Gabe Rogers added 15 points for the Lumberjacks (17-10, 8-6 Big Sky), who are in fourth place in the nine-team conference and secured one of the six postseason tournament spots.

Duro Bjegovic had 12 points for Sacramento State (7-19, 4-10), which made only one field goal in the final 8 minutes and shot 29 percent from the floor.

The Hornets overcame an 8-0 deficit at the outset of the game to go on top 18-17 on Alpha N’Diaye’s jumper with 4:35 left in the first half. But the Lumberjacks scored the final nine points of the half to take a 26-18 lead.

Northern Arizona led by double digits for most of the second half and pulled away down the stretch when Sacramento State missed 10 of its final 11 shots.
