DAVIDSON, N.C. (AP) — Jake Cohen scored 27 points and Davidson defeated North Carolina-Greensboro 78-67 in the regular-season finale for both teams Saturday.

With Cohen making 11 of 14 shots, the Wildcats (17-13, 10-8 Southern Conference) beat the Spartans for the 10th time in 11 meetings, avenging a 77-69 loss in Greensboro on Jan. 17. Brendan McKillop added 17 points for Davidson, which won its ninth game in the last 10 overall.

Davidson controlled the boards against UNC-Greensboro, outrebounding the Spartans 40-29. The Wildcats’ long-range shooting paid off, as they made 10 of 28 from 3-point range. UNC-Greensboro made only 3 of 17 from beyond the arc.

The Spartans (6-23, 6-12) got 18 apiece from Trevis Simpson and Brandon Evans. Simpson scored 33 to lead the Spartans’ victory against Davidson; he had 18 in the second half alone in that game.
