KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Wendell Lewis dunked with 3 seconds left as Mississippi State held off Tennessee to get a 70-69 win on Saturday.

It was the Bulldogs’ first win in Knoxville since 1999.

Riley Benock missed a 3-pointer for Mississippi State (15-13, 7-7 Southeastern Conference), fouled Scotty Hopson on the other end, and Hopson hit the first of two foul shots. The ball was tipped out of bounds and went to Tennessee after Hopson missed the second shot, and Tobias Harris dunked the inbound pass to take a 69-68 lead with 10 seconds left.

Dee Bost drove the floor and dished to Lewis, who dunked and was fouled by Brian Williams in the process. Lewis missed his free throw, and Hopson missed a shot from half court as time expired.

Ravern Johnson led Mississippi State with 20 points.

Hopson had 22 points for the Vols (17-12, 7-7).
