EDINBURG, Texas (AP) — Brandon Provost scored 21 points, all on 3-pointers, and Aaron Urbanus added 17 to lead Texas-Pan American to a 77-72 victory Saturday night against St. Thomas of Texas.
Jared Maree scored 13 points for the Broncs (5-22).
Provost’s 3-pointer gave UTPA a 72-61 lead with 2:16 to play and the Broncs closed it out at the free-throw line. Provost made seven 3-pointers in 10 attempts.
Jeremy Lewis had 23 points and eight rebounds, both game highs, for the Celts. St. Thomas is a member of the NAIA.
