Williams has 26, Robert Morris beats Wagner 66-49

MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. (AP) — Coron Williams scored 26 points and Robert Morris defeated Wagner 66-49 on Saturday night for its sixth straight win.

Williams was 9 of 10 from the field and led the Colonials’ 3-point shooting efforts, going 5 of 6. Robert Morris (16-13, 12-6 Northeast Conference) was 7 of 11 from beyond the arc, while the Seahawks (13-16, 9-9) shot 21.4 percent from the outside (3 of 14).

Velton Jones chipped in 14 points and nine assists for Robert Morris, which shot 47.7 percent from the field (21 of 44).

The Colonials trailed 8-7 before outscoring Wagner 13-2. Russell Johnson’s free throws capped the run with 9:32 left in the first half. Robert Morris led by as many as 19 and no less than nine the rest of the way.

Tyler Murray scored 19 points to lead the Seahawks, who lost their fourth straight. Danny Mundweiler added 10 points for Wagner.
