LAWRENCEVILLE, N.J. (AP) — Novar Gadson had a double-double and a game-sealing steal and layup to lead Rider over Saint Peter’s 75-72 on Sunday in the regular-season finale for both teams.

Gadson, who scored 24 points, picked off an errant pass near the top of the 3-point arc by Saint Peter’s Nick Leon with 13 seconds left and dribbled the length of the court for a layup to give the Broncs a 73-71 lead with 10 seconds to play.

Wesley Jenkins then missed a 3-pointer for Saint Peter’s 6 seconds later.

Gadson, who grabbed 10 rebounds, shot 10 of 16 from the field as Rider (22-9, 13-5 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference) was 14 of 27 shooting in the second half. The Peacocks (17-13, 11-7) led by as many as 11 in the first half and had a 44-35 lead at halftime.

Anthony Myles added 11 points and Brandon Penn 10 for the Broncs.

Jenkins led Saint Peter’s with 19 points.
