JOINT BASE LEWIS-MCCHORD, Wash. (AP) — A soldier accused of using drugs, beating up a whistleblower and stabbing a corpse in Afghanistan faces a court martial Tuesday at Joint Base Lewis-McChord.
Spc. Corey Moore, of Redondo Beach, Calif., could face a dishonorable discharge and more than 11 years in prison if convicted.
Moore is one of a dozen 5th Stryker Brigade soldiers accused of crimes in Afghanistan. Five are charged with murder in the deaths of three Afghan civilians.
