CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (AP) — Leon Powell scored 36 points and shot 11 for 13 from the field to lead Southeast Missouri to an 82-75 win over Tennessee-Martin on Monday night.

Lucas Nutt added 22 points for the Redhawks (4-11, 3-2 Ohio Valley) as part of the 200th career victory for his father, coach Dickey Nutt.

The Redhawks got ahead early in the first half on a 3-pointer by Nutt and never trailed after that.

The Skyhawks (4-11, 0-4) were down 41-39 at halftime but tied it at 49 with about 14 minutes left when Benzor Simmons hit a pair of free throws.

That was as close as the Skyhawks would get. The Redhawks rallied to lead by as many as 12 points down the stretch.

Simmons finished with a team-high 21 points. Terence Smith scored 14 for Tennessee-Martin while Troy King and Mike Liabo each added 10.

Anthony Allison added 13 points for Southeast Missouri.
