Balanced UC Riverside powers past La Sierra 94-48

RIVERSIDE, Calif. (AP) — Seven players scored in double figures Tuesday night as UC Riverside defeated La Sierra 94-48.

Kevin Bradshaw and Delonte Taylor led the Highlanders (6-7) with 13 points each. B.J. Shearry added 12, Javon Borum reached double figures for the 10th consecutive game with 11 points and Kareem Nitoto, Phil Martin and Elliott Berry scored 10 apiece.

Bradshaw also had a game-high 12 rebounds as UC Riverside ran its home unbeaten streak against nonconference opponents to 15 games.

Daveon Woods led the NAIA Golden Eagles (2-10) with 11 points and five rebounds.

The Highlanders posted overwhelming advantages in shooting, 48.7 percent (37 of 76) to 27.4 percent (17 of 62), and in rebounding, 56-34.

Woods put La Sierra ahead 9-7 with 15:02 left in the first half. But UC Riverside then scored 28 of the next 29 points to put it away early. The Highlanders led 48-16 at the half.
