CLEVELAND (AP) — Cavaliers guard Daniel Gibson has a sprained ankle. He did not travel with the team as it embarked on a five-game road trip.

Gibson was injured during the third quarter of Wednesday’s 120-105 loss to Toronto, the Cavaliers’ eighth straight and 18th in 19 games. It’s not yet known how long Gibson, averaging 13.7 points, will be sidelined. He had just returned after missing two games with a thigh injury.

Gibson’s injury is another blow to the Cavaliers, who at 8-27, have the worst record in the Eastern Conference. Forward Leon Powe also did not leave with the team because of a knee bruise.

Cleveland is at Golden State on Friday.
