DOBBIACO, Italy (AP) — Switzerland’s Dario Cologna and Poland’s Justyna Kowalczyk each extended their overall leads in the Tour de Ski with pursuit victories Thursday.

Cologna led the 35-kilometer men’s freestyle race, which had staggered starts according to the overall standings, from the start and finished in 1 hour, 20 minutes, 6.9 seconds.

Marcus Hellner of Sweden crossed second and Petter Northug of Norway was third.

In the 15-kilometer women’s event, Kowalczyk edged the Italian pair of Arianna Follis and Marianna Longa.

After a rest day Friday, the Tour concludes this weekend in Val di Fiemme, with a finishing climb up Mount Cermis on Sunday.
