UC Santa Barbara pulls out 77-65 win over UC Davis

DAVIS, Calif. (AP) — Orlando Johnson scored 21 points, including 16 in the second half, as UC Santa Barbara beat UC Davis 77-65 on Thursday night.

James Nunnally added 17 points as the Gauchos (8-5, 1-1 Big West) shot 48.1 percent from the field.

The score was tied at 41 early in the second half, but the Gauchos made a 6-0 run to go ahead for good. The final score was UC Santa Barbara’s largest lead.

Eddie Miller scored 18 points to lead four players in double digits for the Aggies (6-9, 1-2). Mike Kurtz and Ryan Sypkens added 13 apiece for UC Davis while Ryan Silva scored 10.

The Aggies shot 53.8 percent from the field in the first half but dropped to 39.1 percent in the second.
