North Carolina A&T beats Florida A&M 82-72

GREENSBORO, N.C. (AP) — Nic Simpson scored 22 points to lead four players in double figures to lead North Carolina A&T took an 82-72 victory over Florida A&M on Saturday.

Thomas Coleman added 18 points and 12 rebounds for the Aggies (7-8, 2-0 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference), who have won two consecutive games. Marc Hill scored 13 points and R.J. Buck had 11.

North Carolina A&T, which shot 83.9 percent from the free-throw line (26 of 31), hit eight 3-pointers in 18 attempts (44.4 percent) and outscored the Rattlers 48-38 in the second half.

Avery Moore led Florida A&M (5-9, 0-2) with 23 points and Amin Stevens added 19 points and 13 rebounds. Yannick Crowder added 10 rebounds for the Rattlers, who suffered their fourth consecutive defeat.

Crowder, Jeffrey Kennings and Larry Jackson fouled out for Florida A&M.
