Tennessee Tech defeats Eastern Kentucky 78-66

RICHMOND, Ky. (AP) — Jud Dillard scored 15 points and pulled down 10 rebounds to lead Tennessee Tech to a 78-66 win over Eastern Kentucky on Saturday night.

The Golden Eagles (7-7, 3-2 Ohio Valley Conference) led 36-32 at halftime thanks to a 13-of-21 shooting effort (61.9 percent) and a 20-4 edge in points in the paint.

A jumper from Liam McMorrow with 12:26 remaining capped a 15-5 run for Tennessee Tech, giving the Golden Eagles their largest lead of the game, 51-37.

Zac Swansey scored 13 points and had 10 assists, Zach Bailey scored 15, Kevin Murphy added 11 and Alfred Jones 10 for Tennessee Tech, which finished 27 of 42 from the field (64.3 percent).

The Colonels (7-9, 2-4) cut the deficit to 63-60 on a 3-pointer from Josh Daniel with 4:32 left. But Tennessee Tech went on a 13-2 run to take a commanding 76-62 lead with 1:30 to go.

Spencer Perrin led Eastern Kentucky with 20 points.
