FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (AP) — Lindsey Hughey hit a go-ahead layup with 1:12 left, then drilled a crucial 3-pointer in the final seconds as Weber State held off Northern Arizona 68-67 on Saturday night.
Hughey scored 12 points, all in the second half, to help the Wildcats (7-7, 1-2 Big Sky) avoid their worst conference start in five years.
Kyle Bullinger had 18 points to lead Weber State, which has beaten the Lumberjacks (9-7, 1-3) five straight times.
Cameron Jones scored 26 points for Northern Arizona, which took a 64-63 lead on Shane Johannsen’s layup with 1:56 left.
