NEW HAVEN, Conn. (AP) — Greg Mangano scored 18 points and grabbed 11 rebounds as Yale completed its final warmup before beginning Ivy League play with an 85-57 rout of Division III Baruch College.

The Bulldogs (7-7), who will play their conference opener next Saturday against Brown, shot 50 percent from the field (29 of 58) and never trailed against the Bearcats. Though they barely outrebounded Baruch 39-38, they were able to capitalize inside for a 26-6 advantage in points scored in the paint.

Brian Katz added a career-high 16 points off the bench and Jeremiah Kreisberg scored 11 for Yale, which led 39-26 at halftime.

Tammer Farid had 14 points to lead Baruch (8-6), while Lionel Hilaire added 11 points and Chris Beauchamp 10.

The Bulldogs took advantage of getting to the free-throw line more often than Baruch, making 19 of 25 compared to the Bearcats’ 5 of 6.
