MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — As painful as it has become in Minnesota, Timberwolves President David Kahn continues to preach patience as he tries to turn the team around.

Despite getting career years from Kevin Love and Michael Beasley, the Timberwolves are 9-29 and tied for the second-fewest victories in the league.

Kahn says he thinks this team is “light years ahead” of the team that went 15-67 in his first season on the job. But he also knows that fans will start getting restless if the improvement doesn’t manifest itself in the win column.

He says everyone from executives to coaches to players can and will improve, but that his confidence in coach Kurt Rambis has never wavered.

The Wolves have lost four straight games and host the San Antonio Spurs on Tuesday night.
