BONNEVILLE DAM — The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers on Saturday will host the annual Great Electrifying Event at Bonneville Dam’s Washington Shore Visitor Center.

The free event runs 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and teaches the basics of electricity and how it is generated. It’s geared toward elementary and middle school students but informative and fun for the whole family, according to the Corps. The event celebrates National Engineering Week.

To get to the visitor center, follow state Highway 14 to Milepost 39, then turn onto Dam Access Road about a mile west of the dam. Follow the signs to the visitors center.
