RENTON, Wash. (AP) — Seattle coach Pete Carroll says the Seahawks would like to do “everything we can” to keep quarterback Matt Hasselbeck for the 2011 season.
Carroll was asked about Hasselbeck’s future with the franchise during his press conference on Wednesday. Hasselbeck’s contract expires at the end of the season. He has spent the last 10 seasons with the Seahawks.
Hasselbeck is coming off one of the finest games of his career, throwing for a playoff career-high four touchdowns in the Seahawks’ 41-36 upset of New Orleans last Saturday.
The Seahawks face Chicago in the NFC divisional playoff on Sunday.
