Drexel rallies past Old Dominion 62-57

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Chris Fouch scored 16 points and Drexel rallied to beat Old Dominion 62-57 on Thursday night.

Old Dominion led by as many as 12 points in the first half and held a 32-24 lead at the break. Drexel opened the second half with a 29-5 run to grab its biggest lead of the game at 53-37 after a free throw by Daryl McCoy with 6:09 to play.

Sammy Givens and Gerald Colds each added 12 points for the Dragons (11-4, 3-2 Colonial Athletic Association). McCoy had his second straight double-double with 11 points and 16 rebounds.

Drexel made 12 of 26 field goals (46.2 percent) in the second half while Old Dominion went cold, making only 8 of 29 attempts (27.6 percent). Both teams shot less than 40 percent from the field for the game.

Kent Bazemore and Kenyon Carter each scored 13 points and Ben Finney added 12 for the Monarchs (12-4, 3-2), who had a three-game winning streak snapped.
