MELBOURNE, Australia (AP) — Lleyton Hewitt of Australia advanced to the final of the exhibition Kooyong Classic on Friday by beating Nikolay Davydenko of Russia 6-3, 7-6 (3).
Hewitt will play Gael Monfils of France, who beat Jurgen Melzer of Austria 2-6, 6-2, 7-6 (4).
Earlier on Friday, Melzer defeated Frenchman Jo-Wilfried Tsonga 8-6 in a pro set in a second-round match that had been delayed due to rain in Melbourne.
