Little Rock hits 17 3-pointers in 81-50 victory

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) — Solomon Bozeman scored 26 points and Arkansas-Little Rock hit a school-record 17 3-pointers Thursday night in an 81-50 rout of Louisiana-Monroe.

The Trojans (10-9, 2-2 Sun Belt) broke the record in only 26 3-point attempts, shooting 65 percent from long range. They came into the game ranked 11th nationally in 3-point field goal percentage at 40.9 percent.

Bozeman hit 6 of 7 3-point attempts and 8 of 11 shots overall, and was 4 for 4 from the free-throw line. Daylon Guy added 15 points for Little Rock, Courtney Jackson had 11 and Alex Garcia-Mendoza 10.

Lawrence Gilbert had 17 points and R.J. McCray 10 for Louisiana-Monroe (5-13, 0-4).

Assistant coach Joe Kleine served as interim head coach for Little Rock while head coach Steve Shields served a one-game suspension handed down by the Sun Belt Conference.
