SEATTLE (AP) — The National Weather Service says a series of Pacific storms will bring rain to most of Washington and snow in the high mountains as temperatures remain above normal.
A flood watch is in effect for most of Western Washington through the weekend, but forecasters expect flooding will be minor.
The long stretch of wet weather has increased the likelihood of landslides. A slide covered railroad tracks south of Everett. Burlington Northern Santa Fe says freight service resumed Thursday afternoon but passenger service is not expected to resume before midday Saturday.
