CHICAGO (AP) — Forward Abby Wambach will miss the U.S. women’s team’s trip to China for the Four Nations Tournament because of a heel injury.

Seven veterans who missed this month’s training camp at Carson, Calif., were added to the roster Thursday: Shannon Boxx, Rachel Buehler, Amy LePeilbet, Carli Lloyd, Heather Mitts, Heather O’Reilly and Christie Rampone. They had been given time off following their club seasons.

Sixteen of the 25 players at the training camp were picked, including forward Sydney Leroux and midfielder Megan Klingenberg from the 2008 championship U.S.-Under 20 team.

Midfielder Tobin Heath, the 2009 Hermann Trophy winner at Stanford, returns to the roster following reconstructive ankle surgery.
