A man found on a roof after he allegedly ran from Clark County Sheriff’s deputies following a DUI traffic stop early Monday has been tied to a run of thefts — and attempted thefts — of automatic teller machines.

Jesse Trimmer, 26, of Woodland had been named a person of interest in connection with targets of ATM machines from three area convenience stores and Allen’s Crosley Lanes, according to the Clark County Sheriff’s Office. Security footage of the Crosley Lanes heist was featured on CNN.

Trimmer was located by a K-9 unit shortly after Monday’s traffic stop. Deputies had begun pursuing the vehicle he was allegedly driving on suspicion of DUI.

In addition to the ATM thefts, Trimmer was a suspect in association with a burglary at Columbia Harley Davidson in Hazel Dell.

Interviews with Trimmer and others, along with surveillance video of a man who looked like Trimmer stealing the ATM machines, led to his arrest on suspicion of first-degree theft and five counts of second-degree burglary, among other charges, according to the sheriff’s office.

Trimmer was charged in association with thefts at Allen’s Crosley Lanes, B and B Country Store, Lewisville Market, Felida Minute Mart and the Harley retailer.
