LAS VEGAS (AP) — Just 10 beauty queens remain in the 2011 Miss America pageant after contestants from Texas and New York were eliminated just before the talent competition.
The 10 contestants who showcased their talents Saturday night in Las Vegas were: Miss Nebraska Teresa Scanlan, Miss Washington Jacquie Brown, Miss Arizona Kathryn Bulkley, Miss California Arianna Afsar, Miss Oklahoma Emoly West, Miss Hawaii Jalee Fuselier, Miss Delaware Kayla Martell, Miss Virginia Caitlin Uze, Miss Arkansas Alyse Eady and Miss Kentucky Djuan Trent.
Miss Texas Ashley Melnick and Miss New York Claire Buffie were eliminated when Trent was called to perform.
