Arkansas-Little Rock defeats La.-Lafayette 73-68

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) — Daylon Guy scored 20 points and Solomon Bozeman added 15 to lead Arkansas-Little Rock to a 73-68 victory against Louisiana-Lafayette on Saturday night.

Derrick Bails had 11 points and 10 rebounds for the Trojans (11-9, 3-2 Sun Belt).

David Perez scored 15 points to lead five players in double-figures for the Ragin’ Cajuns (3-14, 1-5), who have lost 14 straight road games. J.J. Thomas had 11 points and 16 rebounds.

Arkansas-Little Rock took the lead for good when Matt Mouzy’s 3-pointer made the score 65-63 with 5:07 remaining.

A Perez 3-pointer got Louisiana-Lafayette within 71-68 with 17 seconds to play, and the Cajuns had a chance to tie on their next possession. But La’Ryan Gary missed a 3-point try, and Alex Garcia-Mendoza made two free throws with 1 second remaining for the Trojans.
