Boston U. rallies to beat Albany (N.Y.) 70-67

ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) — John Holland scored 27 points and Boston University rallied from a 16-point halftime deficit to defeat Albany (N.Y.) 70-67 on Saturday night.

The Terriers earned their first three-game win streak of the season and snapped an eight-game road skid dating back to last season.

BU (8-10, 3-1 America East Conference) trailed 38-22 at halftime as the Great Danes shot 51.7 percent from the field (15 of 29) with no turnovers.

The Terriers took their first lead at 56-55 on a Darryl Partin 3-pointer with 5:31 left. After Albany (8-12, 1-4) regained the lead with a Logan Aronhalt 3, Jeff Pelange’s three-point play gave BU the lead for good.

The Terriers shot 59.1 percent from the floor (13 of 22) and made 17 of 21 free throws in the second half.

Holland hit six 3-pointers and Partin had 11 of his 16 points in the second half.

Tim Ambrose’s 18 points led the Great Danes.
