Coastal Carolina defeats Presbyterian 60-42

CONWAY, S.C. (AP) — Chad Gray scored 19 points and Desmond Holloway added 15 to lead Coastal Carolina to a 60-42 win over Presbyterian on Saturday.

The Chanticleers (16-2, 7-0 Big South Conference) extended their school-record winning streak to 14 games after holding the Blue Hose to 31.5 percent shooting from the floor (17 of 54).

Coastal Carolina led by as many as 14 in the opening half and held a 27-18 advantage at halftime. Presbyterian (8-11, 2-5) went just 8 for 27 from the field (29.6 percent), including 2 of 12 from 3-point range (16.7 percent) in the first half.

Gray scored 15 of his 19 points in the second half as the Chanticleers shot 52.4 percent (11 of 21) after halftime, pushing their lead to as many as 21, 56-35, with 3:40 left to play.

Khalid Mutakabbir scored 16 points and grabbed nine rebounds to lead the Blue Hose, who were outrebounded 38-26.
