COOKEVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Isaiah Canaan scored 16 points to lead five Murray State players in double figures as the Racers defeated Tennessee Tech 92-85 on Saturday night.
Isacc Miles, Jewuan Long and Ivan Aska added 14 points each for the Racers (12-5, 5-2 Ohio Valley Conference), who have won eight of their past nine games.
Murray State led 49-37 at halftime and scored the first five points of the second half on Canaan’s 3-pointer and Miles’ layup. The Racers pushed the lead to 60-41 on Long’s three-point play with 16:01 remaining.
Tennessee Tech (8-8, 4-3) scored the final nine points of the game, holding Murray State scoreless for the last 3:08.
