Stony Brook beats New Hampshire 64-60 in 2 OT

STONY BROOK, N.Y. (AP) — Marcus Rouse scored 13 points and Anthony Jackson added 12 to lead Stony Brook to a 64-60 win over New Hampshire in double overtime on Saturday.

The Seawolves (7-9, 2-2 America East Conference) trailed 39-29 with 5:07 remaining in regulation before a 3-pointer from Dave Coley cut Stony Brook’s deficit to 42-40 with 1:21 left.

Dallas Joyner and Bryan Dougher went 4 for 4 from the free-throw line in the final 33 seconds, tying the score 44-44 and forcing the first OT.

Rouse was fouled on a 3-point attempt with 28 seconds left and forced a second OT after making all three free throws to tie the score at 51.

Stony Brook led by as many as seven in the second OT en route to the four-point victory, which snapped a three-game losing streak for the Seawolves.

Tyrone Conley scored 14 and Brian Benson grabbed a career-high 22 rebounds for the Wildcats (7-10, 1-4).
