Rainfall measured at Pearson Field in Vancouver has hit at least .59 of an inch since midnight, according to the National Weather Service.

And, three landslides have been reported in Southwest Washington by the Washington Department of Transportation.

In addition, officials say heavy rainfall is creating flooding and small landslides at Multnomah Falls in Oregon.

Officials say access from exit 31 on Interstate 84 is closed due to flooding and Multnomah Falls trail is temporarily closed due to slide dangers. Forest Service staff members say they will reopen the trail and pedestrian tunnel when it is safe for public use.

Also, here is a press release from the Washington State Department of Transportation:

VANCOUVER – Landslides have closed sections of three southwest Washington highways until further notice.

SR 14 near Cape Horn (milepost 27), SR 411 near Hazel Dell Road in Kelso (milepost 6.6), and SR 508 at Bear Canyon (milepost 21.5) are currently closed in both directions. Drivers should take alternate routes.

Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) crews are on-scene at these closures, clearing mud, rocks and trees. Utilities crews are also working to clear and repair power lines.

WSDOT crews are also working to clear smaller slides on US 12 near Davis Lake Road (milepost 101) and SR 4 east of Cathlamet (mileposts 37-39).

Drivers should check conditions before they leave and stay in the know using WSDOT’s many tools:
