Walker leads Delaware State over Florida A&M 62-57

DOVER, Del. (AP) — Casey Walker scored 24 points to lead Delaware State to a 62-57 win over Florida A&M on Monday night.

Walker hit eight of his 12 shots, including five 3-pointers for the Hornets (7-9, 3-1 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference).

Delaware State trailed 27-24 at halftime, but went 13 of 24 from the field in the second half (54.2 percent) to win for the third time in its last four games.

Jay Threatt, who had six assists, added 12 points and Marques Oliver chipped in 10 for the Hornets.

The Hornets scored 18 points off 16 turnovers, holding the Rattlers (5-12, 0-5) to just eight assists.

Amin Stevens scored 15 points and Larry Jackson had 11 rebounds for the Rattlers (5-12, 0-5). Brandon Hosley and Avery Moore chipped in 12 points each for Florida A&M.
