WASHINGTON (AP) — Tia Magee scored a season-high 18 points and Sugar Rodgers had 17 to lead No. 16 Georgetown past Villanova 60-44 on Saturday.

Magee scored the last six points as Georgetown (15-5, 3-3 Big East) used a 14-2 run to take a 60-42 lead with 1:43 left.

With 6:45 left and the Wildcats (8-11, 0-6) within 46-40, Rodgers hit two free throws, and Monica McNutt hit three straight 3-pointers to help the Hoyas rebound from their 22-point loss at No. 11 Notre Dame on Tuesday.

Rodgers hit two of her four 3-pointers as Georgetown held Villanova scoreless for 6:14 in the first half and took a 10-point lead. The Wildcats stabilized after their first-half drought and held the Hoyas scoreless for 5:24 late in the second half, but never got within five after halftime.

Laura Sweeney scored 13 points to lead Villanova, which has lost five of six.
