Northwestern State beats McNeese State 87-77 in OT

NATCHITOCHES, La. (AP) — Will Pratt scored 22 points, and William Mosley added 13 points and 10 rebounds to lead Northwestern State to an 87-77 overtime victory over McNeese State on Saturday.

The Demons (11-9, 3-2 Southland Conference) trailed 68-66 with 20 seconds left to play in regulation before a turnover by P.J. Alawoya gave Northwestern State possession.

Devon Baker was fouled with 10 seconds on the clock and made both free throws to send the game into overtime.

The Demons led throughout the overtime period and made 11 of 12 from the free-throw line during the extra frame to seal the victory.

Baker finished with 14 points, Dominic Knight added 11 and Shamir Davis 10 for Northwestern State, which shot 50.9 percent from the floor (28 of 55).

Diego Kapelan scored 20 points and Patrick Richard added 17. Alawoya finished with 17 rebounds and 12 points for the Cowboys (11-7, 3-2).
