Parker leads Dayton past Fordham in a 91-57 rout

DAYTON, Ohio (AP) — Josh Parker scored 27 points, knocking down eight 3-pointers, to lead Dayton to a 91-57 rout over Fordham on Saturday night.

Parker scored all of his points from beyond the arc, except for three free throws. The Flyers (15-5, 3-2 Atlantic 10) dominated in the paint against the Rams (6-11, 0-5), outscoring them 40-18.

Dayton had 27 fastbreak points and scored 22 points off of Fordham’s 13 turnovers. The Flyers also collected 24 offensive boards, outrebounding Fordham 56-38.

Dayton went into halftime with a 37-20 lead and later pushed its margin to 41 on a layup by Josh Benson.

The Rams, who lost their seventh straight game, shot 33.3 percent (19 of 57) from the floor and made 6 of 20 shots from beyond the arc.

Chris Gaston led Fordham with 16 points and eight rebounds. Lamount Samuell had 13 points and Branden Frazier pitched in with 11.
