LUBBOCK, Texas (AP) — D’walyn Roberts tipped in a rebound with 3.8 seconds left to give Texas Tech a 72-71 win over Nebraska on Saturday night.

The win ended a four-game skid for the Red Raiders (9-11, 1-4 Big 12).

Brandon Richardson put Nebraska up 71-70 with 11.4 seconds remaining after hitting three free throws after being fouled on a 3-point attempt. Texas Tech’s Mike Singletary took the ball up the court and drove into the lane and missed, but Roberts tipped the ball in for the win. Nebraska tried a desperation shot at the end but it was off the mark.

John Roberson scored a season-high 25 points for the Red Raiders, including a career-high seven 3s, for Texas Tech. Singletary had 14 points on 5-of-13 shooting.

Richardson scored 20 points to lead the Cornhuskers (14-5, 2-3). He hit both 3s he tried and was flawless on eight free-throw attempts.
