SPARTANBURG, S.C. (AP) — Adnan Hodzic scored 12 points and hot-shooting Lipscomb defeated South Carolina-Upstate 76-55 on Sunday.

The Bisons shot 60 percent from the field (30 for 50) and never trailed. South Carolina-Upstate tied it 2-2, then saw Lipscomb score 15 unanswered points to dominate the rest of the way. The Bisons led 39-14 at halftime, thanks to South Carolina-Upstate’s cold-shooting touch from the field (4 for 27, 14.8 percent) in the first 20 minutes.

Jordan Burgason added 10 points for Lipscomb (11-8, 6-4 Atlantic Sun Conference).

South Carolina-Upstate (2-17, 1-8) lost its 11th in a row, despite getting 14 points from Torrey Craig and 13 from Mezie Uzochukwu.

Hodzic also had eight rebounds for the Bisons, who outrebounded the Spartans 42-26. That and their shooting advantage helped offset the 22 turnovers Lipscomb committed, compared to only 10 for the Spartans.
