PARIS (AP) — French tennis player Aravane Rezai has pulled out of two upcoming tournaments.

Rezai wrote a message on her personal website saying she feels deeply unhappy at recent media reports concerning her family, which she says are inaccurate.

Rezai, ranked 22nd, was due to face Russia in Moscow on Feb. 5-6 and then play in the Open GDF Suez. She did not set a date for her return, saying that she will decide only over the coming weeks.

On Sunday, the WTA banned an undisclosed member of Rezai’s family from attending its tournaments while it investigates a safety issue. No further details were given.

Rezai lost in the first round of the Australian Open to Barbora Zahlavova Strycova of the Czech Republic.
