HOUSTON (AP) — The Houston hospital treating Rep. Gabrielle Giffords says the congresswoman’s condition has been upgraded from serious to good and she will be moved to a rehabilitation hospital on Wednesday.
Memorial Hermann Hospital said Tuesday that Giffords’ doctors have determined she is ready to move to TIRR Memorial Hermann, where her rehabilitation will begin. It said that transfer is scheduled for sometime in the morning.
Giffords was critically wounded in a Jan. 8 shooting outside an Arizona supermarket that killed six people and wounded 12 others. She was shot in the head.
