Rivers leads Wagner over Bryant 80-75 in overtime

SMITHFIELD, R.I. (AP) — Latif Rivers scored six of his 16 points in overtime to lead Wagner over Bryant 80-75 on Thursday night.

Five players scored in double figures for the Seahawks (10-10, 6-3 Northeast Conference) as Orlando Parker added 12 points. Tyler Murray, Chris Martin and Danny Mundweiler chipped in 11 points each for Wagner.

The Seahawks opened overtime on a 7-2 run, taking a 74-69 lead on Josh Thompson’s fast-break layup with 2:23 remaining. The Bulldogs (6-15, 4-5) pulled within two, 75-73, but Wagner went 5 of 6 from the free-throw line the rest of the way to seal it.

Cecil Gresham led Bryant with 16 points, including a 3 with 19 seconds left in regulation to send it into overtime tied at 67.

Alex Francis added 16 points, Frankie Dobbs 12 as the Bulldogs lost their second straight game in overtime. Raphael Jordan and Corey Maynard chipped in 10 points each for Bryant.
