VANCOUVER — Vancouver-based fast-food chains Papa Murphy’s and Burgerville each gained high marks from readers of Consumer Reports magazine in a national restaurant survey, the publication reported.

Recognized in two separate categories, Papa Murphy’s take-and-bake pizza was named the top quick-service pizza restaurant in the country and one of the best values for the money.

Burgerville was rated second-best hamburger chain, coming in just behind In-N-Out Burger.

Consumer Reports said 36,733 subscribers took part in the survey, making a total of 98,000 visits to 53 chains across the country.

The survey’s results will appear in the magazine’s August issue.

Papa Murphy’s is the fifth-largest pizza chain in the country, operating more than 1,250 franchised and corporate locations in 37 states and Canada.

Burgerville is a chain of 39 restaurants in Washington and Oregon and owned by Vancouver-based The Holland Inc. This year marks the burger company’s 50th anniversary.
