Vancouver police are looking for the driver of a Chevy S10 Blazer that hit a fire hydrant and rolled in east Vancouver at 12:34 p.m. Sunday.

At least three people fled the scene, said Vancouver police Sgt. Lou Braafladt. There were no apparent injuries. The incident happened at 15413 N.E. 47th St.

East Vancouver precinct officers responded and learned that some of those who fled were picked up by a driver in a Pontiac Grand Am, Braafladt said. Such a Pontiac was stopped by officers at 12:57 p.m. at 157th Avenue and 47th Street.

No arrests had been made as of Sunday night, but Braafladt said police were attempting to identify the driver of the SUV.

“The case is an active hit-and-run investigation,” the sergeant said.
