DENVER (AP) — The Colorado Rockies purchased the contract of left-handed pitcher Eric Stults from Triple-A on Sunday and optioned righty Greg Reynolds to the team’s top farm club.

Stults was 4-4 with a 5.21 ERA in 37 games at Colorado Springs. He has spent parts of four seasons in majors, all with the Dodgers from 2006-09, where went 8-10 with a 4.84 ERA with 63 walks and 98 strikeouts in 35 games, 24 of them starts.

Reynolds was recalled Saturday to start the Rockies’ game against the Royals. He got the win in Colorado’s 9-6 victory over Kansas City, giving up five runs and eight hits in five innings to improve to 3-0.

To make room for Stults on the 40-man roster, the Rockies transferred right-hander Matt Daley from the 15-day disabled list to the 60-day DL.
