WASHINGTON (AP) — Bryce Harper has made the move up to Double-A Harrisburg.

The Washington Nationals on Monday promoted last year’s No. 1 overall draft pick to Harrisburg of the Eastern League. He was expected to play in Monday night’s Fourth of July home game against Erie.

Harper has been playing this year for low Single-A club Hagerstown. He hit .318 with 14 home runs, 46 RBIs and 19 stolen bases with the Suns, putting him among the South Atlantic League leaders in all four categories.

Harper last year signed a $9.9 million, five-year contract, the biggest payday for a drafted position player.
