Woodland — Ten Woodland residents received $5,500 of dental care for free from Medical Teams International on June 3. It was the first time one of the adult patients had ever visited a dentist, said Dr. Bryan Johnson, a volunteer dentist from Woodland. The Mobile Dental van made its first visit to Woodland for the agency’s Partners in Hope Banquet. Funds raised at the banquet will pay for the use of the van, which will provide service to Woodland one day a month for the next two years. Dental services will be donated by local professional dentists, hygienists and assistants. Volunteers from the Woodland Presbyterian Church will donate time as well. Patients who have no other resources for urgent dental care qualify for the service. Residents who qualify may schedule an appointment at 360-772-9516.
