Battle Ground City Council candidate holding fundraiser
A barbecue fundraiser will be held later this month to benefit a Battle Ground City Council candidate.
Supporters of Adrian Cortes are asked to donate $35 to attend the July 23 dinner on the back patio of Battle Ground Printing, 407 W. Main St. in Battle Ground.
Mike Hardin, owner of the printing business, and State Rep. Ann Rivers, R-La Center, are hosting the event, which is expected to run from 4 to 6 p.m.

Cortes is challenging incumbent Paul Zandamela in this November’s election for the No. 3 seat on the council.
