KANSAS CITY, Kan. (AP) — Graham Zusi scored off a rebound in the second half to help Sporting Kansas City salvage a 1-1 tie against the Colorado Rapids on Wednesday night and extend its unbeaten streak to nine matches.

Kansas City (5-6-6) has not lost in its last four home games.

Conor Casey scored in the 32nd minute for Colorado (5-5-9), which is winless in its last three games and has only one victory in its last 10.

In the 62nd minute, Rapids keeper Matt Pickens could not control C.J. Sapong’s shot, and Zusi easily put the rebound into the open net for the equalizer.

Sporting’s Omar Bravo had a chance to put in another loose ball in the 75th but his shot hit the post and the ball was cleared.
