EUGENE, Ore. (AP) -- A Eugene bus driver has pleaded guilty to sexually abusing three elderly or disabled women over two years.
The Eugene Register-Guard reports the driver, 58-year-old Marvel Hanson, has been sentenced to nearly one year in jail. He pleaded guilty to three counts of third-degree sex abuse and three counts of physical harassment.
The investigation began when one of the victims, an 82-year-old woman, told the newspaper about an assault.
Two other victims, ages 62 and 68, then came forward.
Hanson began with flirtatious comments to the women that progressed to kissing and groping.
One woman said she felt like a hostage in August 2008 when Hanson pulled the bus into a deserted parking lot and assaulted her.
Hanson will be required to register as a sex offender.
